Information, photo's etc in connection with hobbies &

I use the Internet mainly for research and purchases connected with

Main Interests are; Historical Transport & Achitecture and Military & Industial History,
with special interests in:
Narrow Gauge Steam Era Railways & Tramways (including electric).
Wooden Sailing Vessels & Coal fired Coastal Craft.
Steam Lorries, Road Locomotives and Agricultural & Traction Engines.
The English Civil Wars and the Tudor & Stuart period in general.
The Napoleonic Wars and also The Great War in connection with Light Railways.
I work as a Volunteer on two preserved railways holding qualifications as locomotive fireman & guard
and have been a member of the Sealed Knot & an
early Napoleonic re-enactment societies.
I make (given the time) models in plasic, etched brass, white metal
and resin. Modelling at the moment is 009 Scale/gauge Railways,
but military/wargames in the past.
In addition to these rather anoracky past-times, I also read a lot
of historical, sci fi & fantasy novels, like to listen to loud rock music, drink real ale and keep fit with weight training.
